The Stocking Collaborative | Design Your Own Heirloom Stocking

A stocking designed with you, created to become an heirloom.

The Stocking Collaborative is Pine & Poppy’s most personalized stocking experience — an opportunity to work directly with me to create a completely unique hand knit Christmas stocking.

Rather than choosing from a predetermined color chart or existing design, you’ll have access to my collection of available yarns and the opportunity to make the details your own. Together, we can explore colors, textures, stitch patterns, poms, monograms, tassels, embellishments, and other special details to create a stocking unlike any other.

Have a favorite Pine & Poppy detail from years past? Love a discontinued color? Want a two-color heel, bobble stitches, more colors, an unexpected combination, an oversized tassel, two poms, or an initial incorporated into your stocking? Tell me. This is where we get creative.

After purchasing your Collaborative opening, I’ll contact you by email to begin the design process. You can share what you’re drawn to, inspiration you love, and any special details you have in mind. I’ll help bring those ideas together into a design that feels uniquely yours while still carrying the craftsmanship and aesthetic of Pine & Poppy.

If you’re looking for a discontinued or specialty yarn that I don’t currently have on hand, I’m happy to explore sourcing it when possible. Because availability can vary, specific discontinued yarns cannot be guaranteed.

Each stocking is individually hand knit using premium wool and specialty yarns chosen for their beautiful color, texture, and dimension and finished by hand.

One Collaborative opening includes one finished custom stocking for $329. There are no pricing tiers or additional design charges based on the yarns or details we choose together.

Because this is a collaborative design process, not every requested design or detail will be possible. I’ll work with you to determine what can be beautifully and confidently created within the Pine & Poppy style and construction.

Approximately 18 inches in length. Because each stocking is individually designed and different fibers, stitches, and textures behave differently, finished size, shape, and drape will naturally vary. Stockings may also lengthen slightly when hung or filled.

Many of the yarns I work with are artisan hand-dyed, so natural variations in color and tone can occur between skeins and dye lots. These variations are part of what makes each finished stocking unique.

Collaborative openings are intentionally limited throughout the season so I can give each design the time and individual attention it deserves.
